How to Apply
High School Students - Graduating years: 2018 - 2022
Interested students must complete the online application, including a recommendation from a teacher, employer, coach, or school counselor, and submit.
Your application will be submitted, reviewed, and processed. You will be notified via email if you have been accepted. You will receive a welcome packet and enrollment forms to complete. Your spot is not reserved until we receive your $100 deposit and completed enrollment forms.
If you are registering for our second year program, select “Y2” on the application page. You will experience all that NLA has to offer in regular programming, plus added perks and bonus training.
Enrollment will remain open until all 250 spots have been reserved. There is an "Early-bird Registration" deadline of April 15, 2018, to receive $100 off your program fee. It is important to note, however, that you enroll on a first-come, first-served basis. Since program space is limited, it is wise to enroll early for this popular summer program.
Once the 2018 Academy reaches capacity, National Leadership Academy will keep a waiting list for students who would still like to participate should a spot become available. We will contact all students on the waiting list approximately three weeks prior to the program if there is available space.
2018 PROGRAM FEES
$775.00 – Early Bird Price due by April 15, 2018
$875.00 – Paid in Full by June 1, 2018
Your program fee includes accommodation, all meals, snacks, & water, local transportation during the program, staff, security, curriculum and instruction, program materials, books, & activities, site visits & events, commemorative T-shirt, and a Certificate of Completion.
Transportation to and from home and the program location is NOT included in tuition. While attending the program, you will not need any additional money.
Bring a group from your High School! For every 10 paid Student Registrations per high school, NLA will provide a full scholarship to be used as you wish.
We are proud to offer a limited number of scholarships to eligible students. The Academy seeks to ensure that financial support is available to all students who have a desire to attend. Each year, approximately 50% of NLA attendees receive some level of financial support. All students are also encouraged to raise the remaining funds needed to attend, using our Student Fundraising Guide.
Additional information about the application process will be included in the packet of information sent out to students once they have been accepted to the program.
