ELIGIBILITY

High School Students - Graduating years: 2025 - 2029

REQUIREMENTS

Interested students must complete the online application, including a recommendation from a teacher, employer, coach, or school counselor, and submit.

Valid Passport or ability to obtain one by March 1, 2025.

ADMISSION PROCESS

Your application will be submitted, reviewed, and processed.  You will be notified via email if you have been accepted. You will receive a welcome packet and enrollment forms to complete.  Your spot is not reserved until we receive your $100 deposit and completed enrollment forms.

Y2 PROGRAM

If you are registering for our second year program, select “Y2” on the application page. You will experience all that NLA has to offer in regular programming, plus added perks and bonus training.

WAITING LIST

Enrollment will remain open until all 65 spots have been reserved. It is important to note, however, that you enroll on a first-come, first-served basis. Since program space is limited, it is wise to enroll early for this popular summer program.

Once the 2025 Academy reaches capacity, National Leadership Academy will keep a waiting list for students who would still like to participate should a spot become available. We will contact all students on the waiting list approximately six weeks prior to the program if there is available space.

2025 PROGRAM FEES

$3995.00

Includes: leadership speakers, workshops, teambuilding activities, accommodations at Homes of Hope Baja, MX, all meals & materials, books, and transportation during the program.

Transportation between home and San Diego is NOT included in tuition. While attending the program, you will not need any additional money.

DISCOUNTED RATES

For every accepted applicant you recommend, you get $100 off your Program Fee. Nominate or invite your friends and siblings to apply!

PAYMENT OPTIONS

NLA seeks to ensure that financial support is available to all students who have a desire to attend. We are proud to offer a limited number of partial scholarships to eligible students each year. However, all students are encouraged to come up with their initial $100 deposit. For the remaining balance, we recommend fundraising in your local community.

Additional information about scholarships based on need will be sent out to students once they have been accepted into the program.

ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE

NLA begins at 11 AM, on Thursday, June 5th.  Students fly into San Diego International Airport (SAN) and take a shuttle bus to the Homes of Hope campus in Baja, Mexico. The last shuttle departs SAN at 11:00 AM, so please plan on arriving at the airport no later than 10:15 AM. On Sunday, June 8th, the shuttle will depart for SAN at 12:30 PM. Please plan departing flights no earlier than 3:30 PM. Don't worry, arrival flight delays will be handled by NLA staff. We won't leave you behind!

We will gladly help coordinate flights and arrival times to coincide with our airport shuttle service to the program site, and an NLA staff member will be waiting at the airport when you arrive.
